“To remember is to live” is precisely the invitation that the book ”Relatos y recuerdos: calles y centro de Monterrey” makes to the letters lovers, encouraging to remember the old days.

The book written by Jesus Guajardo Mass will be presented at the “Colegio Civil” University Cultural Center (Spanish abbreviation CCCCU) “Francisco Zertuche” room, next Wednesday, October 28, at 20:00 hours.

The Guajardo Mass´ work is made up of the description of the games so full of imagination and innocence, practiced by the fifties and sixties children; and narrations of so-complex anecdotes that are hard to imagine.

In ‘Relatos y recuerdos: calles y centro de Monterrey’, the author will guide its readers in a tour, through an unusual writing style, through those streets that made up the “city of the mountains” first block.

Likewise, he will bring to their memory entertainment establishments and places that existed in the State of Nuevo Leon’s capital, as well as the first developments and institutions that made up the old Monterrey.

It is worth pointing out that the Nuevo Leon´s author born on September 14, 1944 has also written the books: ‘Reseña historica de la Facultad de Arquitectura’ (1988) and ‘Relatos y recuerdos (Monterrey’s traditions and customs)’, second edition, 2004; both published by the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon’s Extension and Culture Secretary.

The event of the most recent Jesus Guajardo Mass’s presentation, will be embellished by the company of Ricardo Elizondo and Maria Eugenia Llamas (known as the” Tusita”) who will carry out a talk regarding its publication.

General public admittance to the presentation of ‘Relatos y recuerdos: calles y centro de Monterrey’, at the CCCCU, is free.
