Architect Hector Benavides will talk to School of Communication Sciences (FCC, Spanish abbreviation) students on September 30th in Alfredo Piñeyro Lopez Auditorium.

Architect Hector Benavides will be radio presenter for 50 years on March, 2010.

The School of Communication Sciences will carry out a double extracurricular work on September 30th in his own auditorium, because at 12 o’clock, a lecture will be carried out by Lic. Sergio A. Lopez Zepeda; and at 15:00 o’clock, Arq. Hector Benavides will talk about “Television Social Responsibility.”

The invitation is for everybody, the entrance is free and without reservation, but the double event is focused on this career’s students, with the objective of keeping touch with publicity and mass media professionals and acquiring all possible experience through intelligent dialogue, that is what professor Roberto Silva Corpus, FCC principal, said.

Lic. Sergio A. Zepeda is the Mexican Association of Advertising Agencies (AMAP, Spanish abbreviation) executive vice president, and his topic is called “From the Logic to the Magic.” Arq. Hector Benavides is well-known for his career of almost 50 years as radio and paradigmatic TV programs presenter.

Lopez Zepeda’s collaborations are uncountable compared to communication industry professionalization and, specifically publicity industry. The highlighted one is his contribution to the creation of Publicity Ethics Code as well as his active participation in the organizations’ setting-up such as the Instituto Verificador de Medios, Council for Self-regulation and Advertising Ethics (Conar, Spanish abbreviation) and the Confederation of the Marketing Communications Industry (Cicom, Spanish abbreviation).

He has been also AMAP representative in different national and international forums as well as the speaker of multiple lectures, besides, establishing different diploma courses in universities in which he is working as professor.

On the other hand, Arq. Hector Benavides has captured audience’s attention through several decades in which he has been working in Monterrey TV channels as presenter, mainly, as the main presenter in several TV programs of “Multimedios Estrellas de Oro.”

Benavides, will be radio presenter for 50 years on March, 2010, that is why FCC -which is headed by professor Roberto Silva Corpus- is organizing a homage for reviving his most important achievements, until nowadays, that he is news anchorman of the 12 Channel and moderator in Sunday panel called “Cambios,” with specialists and current topics opinion leaders’ participation.
