UANL´s Talent at the Monterrey’s FIC

The Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon Schools of Communication Science and Visual Arts will partake — for the second consecutive time — in the Monterrey International Film Festival’s University Short Film Exposition.

Documentary stories, fiction and creativity short films created by Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon students, this work will be present at the Monterrey International Film Festival’s (Spanish abbreviation FIC) “University Regional Short Film Showcase.”

Either as actors, scriptwriters, cameramen, directors, or producers, the students from both the School of Communication Sciences (Spanish abbreviation FCC) and the School of Visual Arts (Spanish abbreviation FAV) will participate.

The FCC´s short films will be presented at the MM Cinemas Leones Screen 9 on Saturday August 33 at 19 hours, and at the Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima’s Auditorium on Thursday August 27 at 17 hours.

On the other hand, the FAV will participate of August 22 at 17 hours at the Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima’s Auditorium and subsequently, on August 27 at 19 hours at the MM Cinemas Leones Screen 9.

In the fifth Monterrey’s FIC edition, the schools will exhibit eight and ten short films respectively; which will constitute their second consecutive participation since the beginnings of the festival.

“Last year I participated with a short film; this time with three: ‘My Profile’ by Carla San Miguel, ‘Telegames’ by Renier Elvir, and ‘The Proof’ by Emanuel Anguiano. These belong to three completely different genres, drama, comedy, and suspense.

“For those of us who love cinema, the fact that the festival grants us the opportunity of participating — the university students — really means a lot, “commented Ernesto Siller, a Communication student.

The FCC will project ‘Experiment Earth’ by Adrian Villareal, ‘You Can Dance‘and ‘Lying in the Living Room‘ by Daniel Tamez, ‘My Profile‘ by Carla San Miguel, ‘The Encounter‘ by Eduardo Hernandez, “Under the Bridge” by Carlos Valdez, ‘Telegames‘ by Renier Elvir, and ‘Heroes‘ by Rogelio Abrego.

Regarding the FAV, it will exhibit ‘Zapata vs. Zombies! ‘by Moy Morales, ‘Psoriasis‘by Tabata Solis, ‘Sweet Obsession‘ by Ramiro Salina, ‘Shot‘ by Blanca Contreras; ‘You used to be a strange world‘ by Antonio Hamet, ‘The Seminar‘ by Francisco A. Moreno, ‘Perhaps You’ll Love Tomorrow‘ by Gabriela Magali, ‘We Are Like This‘ by Miguel Ramos, ‘Like no one has reached the tunnel‘ by Santiago Treviño, and ‘Winning a Battle‘ by Jorge Rodriguez.
