CCI: Now, Our Mission Will Be To Let the World Know What Is Being Done By the UANL

Some of the projects presented by Doctor Jesus Ancer Rodriguez before the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon International Advisory Board (CCI, Spanish abbreviation) are a Secretary for Public Works and Liaison, a General Direction of Continuous Education and a Center for Aeronautical Engineering Research creation.

UANL President, Jesus Ancer Rodriguez presented the current status of the Leading Academic Institution as well as the projects which are already working –for benefiting university community and Nuevo Leon- in her first session before the International Advisory Board (CCI, Spanish abbreviation).

The XI Ordinary Session was headed by Doctor Luis Alfredo Riveros Cornejo, CCI Vice President and advisors Francisco Piñon, Arnold Spitta, Francisco E. Vieira and Luis Cabero I. Roura as well as Arne Carlson and Carlos Ross; and Ana Luiza Machado –by audio conference- this organization president.

UANL President was accompanied by Engineer Rogelio Garza Rivera, Secretary General; Doctor Ubaldo Ortiz Mendez, Academic Secretary; and doctor Manuel Sepulveda Stuardo, Distance Learning Director and who is also CCI Executive Secretary.

The International Advisory Board will publish the recognition to engineer Jose Antonio Gonzalez Treviño, Nuevo Leon Secretary of Education because of his highlighted work as UANL President from 2003 to 2009, a period in which this academic instance was established.

UANL PRESIDENT PRESENTS PROJECTS BEFORE THE CCI

Doctor Jesus Ancer Rodriguez presented CC members –which is composed by 14 North America, Latin America and Europe academic, politic, business and cultural environment personalities- the numbers that make UANL a leader institution in Mexico.

He showed the statistics gotten by the Leading Academic Institution in research, culture sport, liaison, attention for students, academic and administrative quality; subsequently, he listed all projects which are working right now.

UANL President explained that one of the priorities of his work will be the continuous education not only for university students but all people, so the General Direction for Continuous Education will be created.

Another important project that will be started during Doctor Ancer Rodriguez period as UANL President will be the connection to enterprises; that is why he will replace the Secretary for Public Works and Liaison for acquiring resources to develop local and national programs.

“Our Center for Research and Health Sciences Development, which is recently opened, got an investment of 50 million dollars for a project that will be developed by the University, Ministry of Health and UNAM in Nuevo Leon for carrying out a research about AIDS,” said UANL President.

He also talked about the direction of Sustainability and Environment that will be created with the objective of managing and promoting all this; all UANL schools –related to this matter- will participate in this project.

The Center for Research in Aeronautical Engineering is another project presented by Doctor Ancer Rodriguez before the CCI, this project already is supported for starting to be constructed, and maybe Governor Rodrigo Medina will be there.

“We are glad that all projects suggested in 2012 Vision are working now, and more projects are being suggested, currently, this International Advisory Board, which was responsible of bring you all the experience of what is being done in other countries, seems to be restructuring, now the objective will be to let the world know everything that is being done by the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon,” said Francisco Piñon.

The rest of CCI members, who were in the meeting –which took place at the ‘Raul Rangel Frias’ University Library- said to be agreed with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI, Spanish abbreviation) Secretary General as well as contribute with UANL efforts for being internationally well-known.
