"Europosgrados" is Back

The “Europosgrados” Fair will present, on November 25th, the academic programs of eighty universities in ten European countries.

Among some of the exhibitors are: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Hungry, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The Europosgrados Fair — the largest in Mexico, which has been set up for six years in Mexico City and Monterrey — is back in Monterrey for those who have thought of Europe as a feasible study destination and learning for life.

Malgorzata Liszt, reader of the German Academic Exchange Program (German abbreviation DAAD) — which officially represents the German universities abroad with information on graduate and postgraduate studies, scholarships and exchange programs with the higher education system of that country — announced that representatives from eighty universities in ten European countries are coming.

“On November 25th, from 14 to 22 hours, we well be in Cintermex. We invite professors, students, researchers from all universities. They only need to enroll in the www.europosgrados.org webpage and come that day to get to know the programs, listen to the information talks. This year, representatives from fifteen German universities are coming.”

Last year, the Europosgrado Fair received more than 15 thousand interested people in the country, and the numbers are expected to increase.

“The public’s acceptance has been very positive. Each year, the visitors’ number grows; it is a well-known fair. Students are interested on attending, getting to know face-to-face the European universities representatives and finding advantageous offers according to their specialties.”

Europosgrados is organized by DAAD, in coordination with Campus France Mexico — French government national agency for the higher education teaching promotion —, the Nuffic Neso Dutch organization for the international cooperation in higher education, and UNIVERSIDAD.ES — the foundation for the Spanish universities international projection, which put their study programs on the map for the interested students in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

At the “Eventus” Awards ceremony — where the year’s best events are recognized in Cintermex— obtained the 2008 Best Educational Promotion Exhibition award and was nominated as the Best Event Assessed by Attendees.

DAAD IN NUEVO LEÓN

The German Academic Exchange Program readers´ attendance at the UANL has represented the bridge for Nuevo Leon students to set up links with the German academic world.

According to Malgorzata Liszt, the priority is to keep former students and others interested ones informed with the DAAD´s academic programs.

“We are having workshops for the German universitaies that are cooperating with the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, the “Universidad Regiomontana,” and the University of Monterrey in an exchange program for young engineers. We want to create new agreements, to foster new exchange opportunities, and to see the way to keep improving.”

The German Academic Exchange Program’s alumni meetings held the link between the organization and the students that have taken their academic offers.

“The Phytotherapy and Phytochemistry first seminar recently took place in the DAAD´s alumni meetings framework. It was in Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila, as a result of the initiative of Doctors Carlos Armando Lopez Moreno from the Autonomous University of Coahuila and Isaias Balderas Renteria and Ramiro Quintanilla Licea from UANL.”

The results and trends in the Phytotherapy and Phytochemistry fields from different perspectives were presented to the scientific community. These included transnational medicine, quality control, genomics, its association to other sciences such as the palobiology, and the fito compounds applications as antioxidants.
